WEAC Summer Setup
The temperature is rising, and so is our need for essential summer items to support the womxn at
the Women’s Emergency Accommodation Centre (WEAC).
On July 8th, 2021 from 2:00pm-8:00pm at Alex Taylor School (9321 Jasper Avenue) we are hosting a Drive Through Fundraiser in order to collect donations of items needed to ensure our community is comfortable during another Alberta summer!
What we need:
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
- Bottled water & reusable bottles
- Twin size bedding and blankets
- Bath towels,
- Shampoo & conditioner,
- Deodorant,
- Summer appropriate clothing like t-shirts, shorts, midi-maxi length dresses and skirts, rain coats
- Socks
- Underwear & Bras (HOT item!)
- Sandals
Many of these items are inexpensive, and can be purchased at places like Dollarama, Walmart, Old Navy, and Superstore.
Drop them off at our Drive Through fundraiser on July 8th from 2:00pm-8:00pm and receive a free lemonade for visiting us!
If you are unable to make it on July 8th please donate directly below, or by calling call 780-220-0997 to arrange an alternate drop off time.
By stopping by the Drive Through fundraiser with any of the above items, you will be helping more people in your community feel safe, comfortable, and happy this summer.
As you return to gathering with your friends and family and you get to enjoy BBQs, camping, and other special events, consider challenging your friends, coworkers, and family to bring items to your events. Bring your donation down to our event to help more womxn in our community to enjoy summer, too.
