Description

e4c is seeking a dynamic, relationship builder who is interested in making a significant impact in the Edmonton community. This role is responsible for donor queries and stewardship, grant prospecting and administration, as well as acts as a database administrator for e4c’s Raiser’s Edge NXT software.

As a Development Coordinator, you have a keen eye for detail, and can put yourself both in the shoes of donors and programs. You have the ability to share the impact of our programs while simultaneously gathering a deeper understanding of a donors wants and needs. You understand that the key to successful fundraising lies in exceptional donor experiences, and you strive to go above and beyond.

At e4c, the journeys of the people and communities that we serve are the heartbeat of what we do. The successful candidate will facilitate a deep understanding of both the programs and the persons served, and be able to translate this understanding into a compelling case for support.

  • You have experience working in the non-profit sector and are passionate about working with an organization that is committed to supporting others on their journeys out of poverty.
  • You are a positive and energetic person who is committed to building strong, focused relationships with our donors through instilling trust with yourself, the Development team, and our donors.
  • You have excellent self-awareness, are solutions-focused, and enjoy creative work.
  • You have a driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.

If this gets you excited, here’s what your days will look like:
  • You’ll act as the first point of contact for general donation-related inquiries to e4c.
  • You’ll be responsible for maintaining database hygiene, including up-to-date donor lists and fundraising records.
  • You’ll process all donations and issue tax receipts in accordance to e4c policies and Canada Revenue Agency guidelines.
  • You’ll draft fundraising correspondence tailored to individual program and/or campaign needs that aligns with the lens, language, and focus of the organization and program.
  • You’ll provide accurate information to the e4c Finance teams, coding all gifts according to donor intent and GL structure.
  • You’ll research relevant grants and support the writing and submission of applications.
  • You'll manage the application review and granting process of e4c's Winspear Grant program, in collaboration with the Director and Executive team.
  • You’ll support and facilitate third-party fundraising events, workplace campaigns, and other fundraising events.
  • You’ll assist with the coordination and development of impact reporting to donors, sponsors, and funders.

What you bring to the table:
  • Completion of a related post-secondary degree or diploma program.
  • 3-5 years’ work experience in a fundraising role.
  • Intermediate or advanced skills with fundraising database software, preferably Raiser’s Edge NXT. Advanced database skills would be an asset.
  • You have the ability to demonstrate situational adaptability by managing changing priorities and multiple requests simultaneously, while paying close attention to detail.
  • You have strong organizational and inventory management skills and understand the importance of maintaining an accurate and organized Gifts In Kind donation room.
  • You have a zest for life and championing the mission, vision, and values of e4c.
